LAURA BERMAN & CRAIG BENELLI
In 2002, singer/songwriter, Laura Berman released her first CD, LOVE WILL. Laura received critical acclaim from her debut, including an honorable mention in the 2003 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for the opening track, "Grace in Me."
Laura supported her CD by performing in numerous clubs and spiritual centers throughout the United States and was chosen as one of the emerging artists at the 2004 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in the Berkshire Mountains of the East Coast. During this time, Laura was also a featured singer in the film and soundtrack of the Warner Brothers release, "Clifford's Really Big Movie", which starred John Ritter as the voice of Clifford. She also performed back up vocals for Grammy Award winner ENYA on the David Letterman Show.
Laura has since released two additional CDs. The second is a self-titled acoustic CD that showcases her vocal, piano and songwriting talents. She describes her 2nd release as "a pop collection of modern and relevant inspirational songs." Laura's 3rd CD, DETOUR, a collection of songs, written and co-produced by her husband, Craig Benelli, has not only opened doors to performances with bestselling authors Neale Donald Walsch and Marianne Williamson, it has claimed Laura as one of the premiere artists in the New Spirituality movement.
In the summer of '08, Laura & Craig moved from NY to the Pacific Northwest for the purpose of extending their music to the thriving New Thought community on the west coast.
