BRAD ULRICH – Brad began performing professionally in the early eighties with a local band called Wholly Cats, which included bassist Dan Presley, trumpeter Chris Tyle, and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Rebecca Kilgore. During his two and a half year stay with this group of musicians he had the opportunity to share the bandstand with musicians such as trumpeter (and Ellington alumnus) Bill Barry, tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton, saxophonist Lou Tabackin, and pianist Dave Frishberg.
Brad later had the honor of recording with local Blues Artists such as Paul De Lay, Linda Hornbuckle and Fabulous Thunderbirds drummer Jimmy Bott. He also performed and recorded on baritone sax in a band called "Pin and the Hornets" with tenor sax player and John Mayall alumnus Chris Mercer as principal arranger.
