JULIET WYERS grew up in the Pacific Northwest with activist parents who heated with wood, baked bread weekly and kept a big garden. She was a highly-practiced walkman singer before she risked solo performance. Subtly literate, her songs ring with melodies that reflect the words’ meanings and hop with rhythmic life. Raised on soul music/funk, 1960’s folk, and Broadway musicals, Wyers winds science and spirit together in pieces about honeybees, subliming, and a metal detector man. Wyers plays her tone-deaf dad’s gorgeous 1956 Gibson guitar.
She released her first CD, “Clear,” in 2003 earning finalist awards, invitations to perform at 6 national songwriting competitions, including Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, Rocky Mt. Folks Festival, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

“One can only listen
and marvel.”
–Sing Out!
“She’s as much fun to watch
as she is to listen to.”
–Singer Magazine
“That glowing voice, a rare instrument... it is appropriate that Oregon’s Juliet Wyers sings a song about honeybees, since her voice and appearance both evoke honey and sunshine.”
–Boston Herald
